Says Noone: When me and [co-instructor Lulu] were big in the 60s, we were taught to nail a song with enthusiasm. I listen to the radio today and I hear a LACK of enthusiasm.
Noone says enthusiasm goes a long way, and says the best performances arent always from the best singers but from the performers you believe.
Noone will be working with the five male finalists and hopes that they dont make the mistake of not trusting the existing melodies of their chosen songs.
In his words, We dont need a third-rate Aretha Franklin. We already have one. I cant name one Justin Timberlake song.
Noone will be seen teaching the Idols tomorrow night (Mar. 20) and he will sing his 1967 hit, Theres A Kind Of A Hush, on the show airing Wednesday (Mar. 21).
