Actress Sara Paxton learned that valuable lesson while filming the new Lifetime movie The Party Never Stops, that documents a college freshmans descent into alcohol abuse.
The 18-year-old actress had to look like a hardcore boozehound but downed shots of Kool-Aid and apple juice onscreen instead of hard alcohol.
There were still some problems.
Says Paxton: I got such bad stomach aches from doing so many shots of apple juice it was disgusting.
Paxton would take up to 10 shots a take and admits shes so grossed out by apple juice that she never wants to see it again.
As she puts it, I wont go near that stuff. I learned my lesson.
Although Paxton plays a party girl in the movie shes more low key in real life.
She explains: My parents never made it a big deal. It wasnt like my dad had to go upstairs and hide whenever he had a beer. I grew up knowing it wasnt OK to drink when I was young but that it was something to do when Im older.
The Party Never Stops debuts March 26.
