No Shoes, No Problem For American Idol Cast-Off

SARATOGA, Ca. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – American Idol’s latest cast-off, Paul Kim, didn’t stomp out the competition, but he walked away with his sense of style still intact.

Kim was eliminated this past Thursday (Feb. 22) and although his singing didn’t stand out, his habit of singing while barefoot became a trademark of sorts.

In his words, the barefoot singing is simply “part of who I am and makes me feel comfortable while performing.”

Says Kim: “ It’s my style. I’m an earthy soul singer and my bare feet reflect that.”

Kim is happy the Idol wardrobe department didn’t alter his style by making him wear shoes, and admits he loved not stressing out over what shoes to wear on performance night like the other contestants.

However, not wearing shoes meant Kim had to spend more time choosing the perfect outfit.

He says, “It took me a while to get ready because I had to pick out earthy outfits that didn’t look stupid with my bare feet. The clothes had to make my feet look good!”
