‘Heroes’ H.R.G. Jack Coleman Admits: ‘Glasses Do Half The Work’

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Jack Coleman may possess the hardest-working glasses in show business.

Coleman plays a mysterious character named “H.R.G.” on the NBC drama, Heroes, and is known for his thick horn- rimmed glasses.

He admits that the part became very simple once he found the correct pair of spectacles because “the glasses do half the work.”

Coleman says he and the folks in the prop department went through 100 pairs before finding the ones that worked right for the character.

As a result, he says getting into character is easy once he slips on the glasses.

However, the actor – who turns 49 on Wednesday (Feb. 21) – admits it’s strange to peer into the mirror and “have an epiphany that with the glasses I look just like my father when he was my age.”

Heroes airs Monday nights.
