Daphne Zuniga Wants A Drama-Free Christmas

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Daphne Zuniga spreads Christmas cheer in a new TV movie, but in real life she admits Christmas fear is more accurate when it comes to her own holiday shopping.

Zuniga helps Jay Mohr find the true meaning of Christmas in the new ABC Family movie Christmas Do-Over, but she admits in real life she’s not so good at making people smile during the holidays.

Case in point: Her 4 year-old niece burst into tears when she opened a pair of pink Uggs from the actress last year.

Says Zuniga: “She just started crying and saying she wanted a toy when she opened it.”

Zuniga says her niece has since apologized and always comes up to her and says “I love my boots Auntie.”

To avoid repeating the Christmas morning mayhem, Zuniga says she was going to get her niece a toy this year but says her request for a “remote spy machine” was a little too advanced for Zuniga.

Instead, she’s getting her niece a bigger pair of boots and making sure the kid opens the packages with toys before the ones containing clothing.

Christmas Do-Over premieres Saturday (Dec. 16).
