Louise Harrison is currently auctioning one of 12 original copies of the Beatles first U.S. release, Meet The Beatles, and hers is the only one signed by all the members of the Fab Four.
Harrison has owned the album since 1964 and says the band members signed it while on a train ride during their first appearance in the States.
She hopes to get as much as $500,000 for it, but admits that family unity, not finances, is the motivating force behind the sale.
As she puts it, Ive got two grandsons but only one album.
The auction is going on until December 16 and Harrison hopes to talk with the buyer and convince them to put it on display rather than hiding it in a vault.
