Black Comics Take Back The N-Word – No Joke

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Michael Richards might not be able to get away with saying the N-word but black comics can.

In fact, they’re being encouraged to do so this Friday (Dec. 8) at a Hollywood comedy club.

Club owner Enss Mitchell says the event – which insiders are calling the ‘Ng-Athon” will give black comics the opportunity to take back the word by using it as much as possible during their routines.

And while Mitchell wants a diverse audience watching the show, he says white comics won’t be allowed behind the mike.

That’s because Mitchell says the N-word is only cool “among African Americans” and says it’s important because it “shows you’re up on pop culture.”

Says Mitchell: “It was used to tear us down, but we turned it around and made it positive.”

He admits he didn’t invite Richards to the event, but that the former Seinfeld star is welcome to attend – and security guards will be instructed to remove any hecklers.
