‘SNL’ Star Hoping Hillary Runs For President

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Many people are hoping that Hillary Clinton runs for president but none with the fervor of Darrell Hammond.

The longtime Saturday Night Live cast member admits a Clinton campaign would be great for him since he would be able to revive his very popular Bill Clinton impression.

As he puts it, “I can’t lie. I would love to play him as often as possible.”

Still, Hammond says until Hillary officially announces her intentions, he has to keep his Clinton comedy in the closet.

However, he’s still gearing up for the 2008 election and plans to meet with SNL staff writers next week in order to determine which other potential presidential candidates he should start imitating.

Meanwhile, Hammond’s previous work will be honored this Saturday (Nov. 4) when the show hosts a “Best Of” special dedicated to him.

It’s the first time a cast member has been honored while still on the show.
