However, the shows creators say the real shock is how common it is for animators to do dirty versions of their characters.
Matt Silverstein and Dave Jeser say when they first conceived of the show a reality show spoof where various kinds of cartoon characters live in the same house they visited the office where The Simpsons is made and discovered what Jeser describes as an obscene amount of obscene Simpsons art showing Homer doing unspeakable things with Marge, Maggie, Lisa and Bart.
Silverstein adds: The difference between our show and others is that we ask the animators to leave that stuff in.
In fact, sometimes they ask for more.
During the first season, the shows characters were often naked but with no genitalia, just like Barbie and Ken.
However, when the show was released on DVD, the animators had to go back and draw the characters with penises.
Drawn Together airs tonight (Oct. 19) but moves to Wednesdays starting Oct. 25.
