Pooch From ‘Family Guy’ Offers Life Advice

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Every dog has his day, even a wise-cracking, martini-drinking, cartoon dog.

That’s the case with Brian Griffin, the talking pooch from Fox’s cartoon series Family Guy.

The dry-humored doggy now has his very own advice book titled: Brian Griffin’s Guide To Booze, Broads, And The Lost Art Of Being A Man (Harper), which hits shelves today (Oct.17).

Andrew Goldberg, one of the creators of the book, says Brian is the ideal Family Guy character to write an advice book because he is, “so wise for a dog.”

Goldberg says the guide covers topics like his thoughts on dating, politics and, of course, his favorite cocktails and bars.

While many will prosper from Brian’s advice, Goldberg says in the cartoon world, Chris Griffin, the family’s oafish son, will gain the most from the wise dog.

Says Goldberg: “Chris is so lost. Being in Brian’s shoes for a day could really help him out since he gets no play with the ladies and is so clumsy.”
