‘Supernanny’ Jo Frost: ‘The Kids Don’t Understand Why I’m There’

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Jo Frost just started her third season on the ABC series, Supernanny, and she’s seeing a definite difference between the new parents and those in years’ past.

In her words, “Many of the parents have tried my techniques, such as the naughty corner but they’ve implemented the techniques wrong.”

Still, she tells them she’s flattered and simply helps them figure out what they’re doing wrong and says they usually say afterwards, “Now I know why it works.”

But while the Supernanny’s public profile is making it easier to get her parenting tips across, she admits there’s still a disconnect with her younger fans.

As she puts it, “The older kids recognize me and say, ‘You’re the woman who talks with the naughty kids.’ They don’t understand why I’m there at their house.”

Frost hopes to help even more beleaguered parents with her new book, Ask Supernanny: What Every Parent Needs To Know (Hyperion).
