Elderly Serial Killers Inspired New Comic Book Series

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Many people read comic books to escape reality, but a new series is hardly far from fiction.

Comic book creator Shawn Granger always thought his elderly uncle Ray was “fishy,” especially when he stayed with him for the summer.

Granger had no idea Uncle Ray was killing homeless people on the side.

Ray Copeland and his wife Faye were eventually caught and charged with murdering six hired hands – making the 70 something couple the oldest to get the death penalty.

Although Granger admits he used his “artistic license” to spice up the story and even added a romantic subplot – many of the events are true.

As he puts it, “In retrospect there was a lot of clues – It really came as no surprise that he did this – he abused anyone he could get his hands on.”

The first chapter of the Family Bones series will be available in November.
