Depending on what the astronomers decide, Pluto could be downgraded to an asteroid or 14 other planetary bodies could be declared planets.
But regardless of their spacey conclusions, astrologers will continue to use Pluto when drawing up charts.
Vanity Fair astrologer Michael Lutin says Pluto has proven effects on humans no matter what you call it and figures the whole astronomical argument is proof of that.
In his words, Pluto is nearing the end of Sagittarius and that creates a split of possible ideas and a lot of hair- splitting.
New York-based astrologer Shelley Ackerman also stands by Pluto and adds: Anyone whos been through a Pluto transit will not question its power. It forces life changes against a persons will.
If the astronomers do add some new planets to the list, Ackerman says shes prepared, but that all of their effects may not be apparent at first, because some of them have orbits of more than 100 years.
