Corbin Bernsen Promoting New Series And New Tribe

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – It’s a busy day for actor Corbin Bernsen.

Not only is he promoting his new TV series, Psych, which debuts on USA tonight (July 7), but he’s also promoting his new tribe.

Bernsen is one of the founding members of a new tribe in Fiji featuring 5000 people from around the world.

Members pay between $210 and $630 to live on a deserted island from seven to 21 nights over a three-year period.

Bernsen heard about the plan a month ago and decided immediately to join up because, as he puts it, “We’re pretty much stuck with what we have now on this planet; but I wonder, given the knowledge we have, what can we do with something raw?”

Although the island has no electricity and only two huts, Bernsen is not interested in living in huts.

As Bernsen puts it: “There are great things about technology and I want to apply them to this place. Instead of being primitive, I want to try new types of housing.”

Bernsen will first visit the island in September and while he is currently its most public face, he wants no special treatment and says, “I’ve made it clear that I’m just another voice, not three or four.”
