Business Is Better Than Ever For Pot-Friendly Bud And Breakfast

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Santa Cruz, California, has gone to pot thanks to an inn that caters to medical marijuana users.

The Compassion Flower Inn opened more than five years ago and co-owner Andrea Tischler says the business is such a hit, profits have never been higher.

That’s because the inn allows pot smoking patrons to light up on the patio if they have a doctor’s recommendation.

About the budding business boom, Tischler notes her indica inn has no competition in the traditionally liberal town because “most bed and breakfast owners are too conservative for this.”

That’s fine with Tischler, who says tokers and non- smokers alike appreciate the establishment’s laid-back, relaxing environment.

He says pot smokers can’t be hassled by police at Compassion Flower, since Santa Cruz’ strict ordinances shield medical marijuana patients from local prosecution.

Which is friendly, indeed: The local police refer friends to stay at the establishment.
