Enterprising Englishman Transforms Home Into ‘Star Trek’ Replica

MIDLANDS, UK. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – An enterprising Star Trek fan in Midlands, England, is going boldly where few Trekkies have gone before: He’s turned his home into a replica of the U.S.S. Enterprise.

Tony Alleyne has spent the last eight years of his life turning the interior of his 375-square-foot apartment into a replica from the shows Star Trek: The Next Generation and Voyager.

Alleyne went on his interior design trek as a form of therapy when his marriage broke up in 1994 and admits the out-of-this- world project has led him to near bankruptcy – and he maxed out 14 credits cards in the process.

But his Trek should pay off by the end of this month, when he finally auctions his home on eBay with a starting bid of $250,000.

Until then, Alleyne plans on working hard on the final touches and to – what else? – “Live long, and prosper.”
