Comedian Dave Foley Pokes Fun At Himself On Poker Show

NEW ORLEANS (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Comedy is easy, but poker is hard.

That’s according to former Kids In The Hall and NewsRadio star Dave Foley, who is hosting the third season of Bravo’s Celebrity Poker Showdown starting May 31.

Foley says he doesn’t need help with his humor on the show, but he does need a hand when it comes to poker hands.

In his words, “I don’t have a cheat sheet of jokes, but I do have a poker expert next to me.”

Foley, along with co-host and World Series of Poker winner Phil Hellmuth, will provide commentary and insight into the televised celebrity tournament, which offers a $1 million prize pool that will be donated to Hurricane Katrina charities.

Celebrity players will include Jason Alexander, Macy Gray, Fred Savage and Jennifer Tilly, among others.

Foley also admits that since he started hosting the show three years ago, he gets invited to private, high stakes celebrity poker games as well – but rarely accepts.

In Foley’s words: “I’m too scared. I did get to play alongside James Garner, and that was more than enough for me.”
