‘Sopranos’ Rap Star The Safest Actor On The Set?

STATEN ISLAND, New York (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – With all the arrests of his co-stars on The Sopranos, it’s not a stretch to call rapper-turned-actor Lord Jamar one of the safest guys on the set.

Despite the presence of the alleged criminal element on set, Jamar says working on the set of the HBO gangster drama was “a very pleasant experience.”

In Jamar’s words, “It was a really, really friendly set. [James] Gandolfini was a great dude, and when [fellow cameo star] Hal Holbrook would cuss off camera, we’d all be cracking up.”

Recently, the arrests of Sopranos regulars like Robert Ventimiglia, who plays Artie Bucco, and Robert Iller, who portrays Anthony Soprano Jr., have led to suggestions the actors should be working on another popular HBO series, the prison show, Oz.

That’s no problem for Jamar who, despite having a clean record off-screen, has appeared on both shows.

According to Jamar, the transition between shows is easy, since, in his words, “A lot of my boys from the production crew at Oz work for Sopranos, too.”
