Blogger Turns New Page With Inappropriate Children’s Stories

SAN DIEGO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A children’s book writer is working on a collection of stories that would surely ruffle Mother Goose’s feathers.

Tony Phillips, who writes a daily blog at, is working on what he describes as “children’s stories that should never be read to children.”

Phillips says he and his 17-year-old daughter have written stories together, always adapting the following point of view: “Remove the dumb stuff you’ve learned and what would the world look like?”

Apparently what you’re left with is 10 satirical stories including: You Have Asthma So You Always Lose; Suzie’s Parents Got Divorced and It Was Her Fault; Mary Isn’t Smart, But She’s Pretty; and a socio-economical tale, Bobby’s Poor Because He’s Black.

Phillips says he’s written half the stories and figures the first collection in his Little Dingly Books series will be about 50 pages.

In the meantime, he’s looking for an illustrator and publisher.
