Simon Cowell Object Of Hate Song

LONDON (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Most people sing love songs on Valentine’s Day, but American Idol judge Simon Cowell now has a hate to call his own, thanks to London-based singer Nonnie Thompson.

She’s just released “I Hate You Simon Cowell,” a bipolar ballad that features lines about liking the man known as “Mr. Nasty” and vitriolic verses like, Your smelly old black tee shirt/ behind that stupid scowl/ is a really stupid jerk-off/ I hate you Simon Cowell.

But Thompson herself isn’t angry at Cowell. She wrote the song from a scorned Idol contestants’ perspective for a musical, Instant Celebrity: Just Add Water, that recently ran on London’s West End and is slated for a New York run.

Thompson describes the musical as “raunchy” and “sardonic” and says much of it is dedicated to Cowell.

But while she empathizes with the failed contestants, she doesn’t personally hate Cowell.

As she puts it, “I am not a spurned singer...I think he’s fabulous. It’s just that he’s so mean to so many people.”
