Chef/artist Ciril Hitz says despite the no-carb craze, the COPIA gallery in Napa, California, asked him to do a decorative bread show called Whats Rising? because, Theyre into showing new food mediums.
Hitz says his knack for kneading dough helped him create all- bread pieces like a colorful rooster and a Native American-themed sculpture featuring a feathered headdress for the show, which runs until May 1.
He admits four months is a long time to have bread on display but says people wont notice any rotting or mold because bread goes through a mummification process. Its too dehydrated for any moisture.
For those who still have issues with carbs, he jokes, My theory is my bread is the lowest carb bread around because you dont eat it.
