Aussie Underwear Offers Vitamin Boost

SYDNEY, Australia (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Believe it or not, there’s a way to get healthy by doing nothing but sitting on your behind.

The Australian underwear line aussieBum has just released a line of vitamin-infused undies called Essence, and company founder Sean Ashby says that means, “No need to knock back another tablet every day.”

Buyers can choose from underwear woven with Acerola – an anti-oxidant that’s essentially Vitamin C – or Ginseng, known for its energizing properties. The chemical compositions – developed by the aspirin company Bayer – are released onto the skin during wear and remain active for up to 15 washes.

Ashby teases, “We’re working on Viagra.”

All kidding aside, he says, “I would be very surprised if we didn’t see that start to emerge in the future.”

Ashby thinks a lot more people will use this type of microfiber technology soon, adding, “The times they are a- changing.”

He says that’s especially evident for him when “you catch people putting the [Essence] undies up to their nose and taking a good, long whiff.”
