Harry Potter Scholarship Offered

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Inane knowledge of Harry Potter is finally paying off in the form of a scholarship.

The Common Knowledge Scholarship Foundation has launched a $250 scholarship program on its website,, for fans of the movie Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone

Harry Potter buffs – students or parents – must answer questions based on the movie in four online quizzes.

Sample questions include: Why does uncle Vernon think Sunday is the best day of the week? Answer: Because there’s no mail.

For every correct answer, competitors earn 500 points and lose a point for every second it takes them to answer.

Contestants are then ranked based on their points.

Foundation spokesman Daryl Hulce says the scholarship gives non-A students a chance to earn some dough for school.

As Hulce says, “Life is about more than just grades and this scholarship gives everyone an equal chance to win.”

The scholarship contest ends December 23.
