Whac-A-Mole Turns Into Whac-A-Whatever You Want

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – If you love whacking moles with a mallet at the arcade, would you believe you can have the game Whac-a-Mole customized to include anything from your boss’ to Osama Bin Laden’s head?

That’s the word from Mike Lane, the CFO of Bob’s Space Racers, the company that manufactures Whac-a-Mole.

He says for $3,795 you can have “the same [Whac-a- Mole] that sits in a Chuck E. Cheese,” but if you’re willing to spend at least $6,500, they’ll take a whack at custom art and heads.

Lane says the price of the game “depends on the extent of customization.” For example, the company has an order for a 15-head cabinet that’s priced at $27,000. He adds, “I haven’t figured out how they’re going to keep up with it.”

He says they get a lot of orders for custom heads, but admits, “Nobody’s asked for a Clinton or a Bush. Let’s face it. It’s only going to be valid for about four to eight years.”
