According to Jon Myers of Columbus, Ohio, using iPods to enhance online dating is the wave of the future.
Myers and two of his friends have started an online community called PodDater.com, which enables members to create a video profile that can be uploaded onto other users iPods for viewing.
He says theres also a feature on the site called tagging, meaning each user applies key words to their profile like Beach, New York or Barry Manilow, which Myers says, allows you to find someone more like-minded.
Once youve set those key words, when you log on and plug in, potential matches will automatically populate your iPod.
Membership is free, and Myers thinks the newly launched site will be bombarded with users after the holidays.
Apple is predicting theyll sell 14 million iPods this holiday season and naturally, he says, recipients of the gift are going to be looking for something to do with it.
