Santa Gets His Own Reality Show

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – If Donald Trump can get his own reality show, then surely Santa Claus deserves one too.

And he’s getting one thanks to an upcoming FOX special, Dear Santa, that gives the fat man a chance to help four American kids get their dream wishes.

The U.S. Post Office gets nearly a million “Dear Santa” letters every year and series creator David Garfinkle says he and his staff read as many as they could.

Most of the letters belong in what he calls the “I want an Xbox” category but there are a few that leapt out, such as the girl who wants her Daddy to come home from Iraq, and the boy who lost his neighborhood skateboard park and has nowhere else to go.

Dear Santa debuts Dec. 9 and while there’s no word on whether Santa Claus can jingle up enough ratings, Garfinkle hopes the show becomes a seasonal series that airs for four weeks every November and December.
