Shoppers Boycotting Kmart Until Jingle Is Brought Back

TROY, Mich. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A housewife from Troy, Michigan, is putting a spotlight on Kmart’s blue-light by organizing a boycott of the retailer because they did away with her favorite commercial.

Mother and homemaker Elaine Cassel has launched a boycott and e-mail campaign at targeting the top brass at the retail giant to bring back her favorite jingle “I Found Love in a Kmart Store” sung by country musician Darryl Worley in TV ads.

The retailer recently yanked the ads to which Cassel says, “There’s so much crap out there in advertising that it’s nice to see something cute and catchy, and I like Darryl Worley.”

Cassel says she’s not alone. She claims the buzz on internet forums is in favor of the jingle.

She says the boycott will remain in effect until the jingle makes a comeback, and Cassel says she doesn’t want to invoke the “W” word – as in Wal-Mart – but figures the other retail giant would be happy to take her money if Kmart won’t “throw its loyal shoppers a jingle bone.”
