When Is Reality TV Not A Reality?

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – You’ve heard of reality TV, but a Los Angeles woman is faking reality TV for a good cause.

Anna Green and her friends are trying to help raise awareness of the victims of the Pakistani earthquake by doing a casting call for a proposed reality show called Operation Panjkot.

The show supposedly takes real Americans to a tiny town in Pakistan and forces to them to endure an entire winter in the Himalayas while competing with the Pakistani residents for food and supplies.

Although the show is fake, Green has received numerous responses from wannabe contestants and she says it’s “kind of sad” so many people are desperate to be on reality TV.

Still, she says she created the hoax in order to create national attention of the thousands of homeless people in Pakistan.

No one on Green’s team has asked the Pakistanis what they think about the practical joke, but she insists the crew’s hearts are with them and she hopes they are safe.
