Lynda Carter Takes Bad-Girl Role For ‘Law & Order’

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Wonder Woman star Lynda Carter is ditching her golden lasso for a life of crime on a cross-over episode of Law & Order: SVU and Law & Order.

Carter teams up with actress Estella Warren to play a ruthless mother-daughter team of con-artists who manage to escape prosecution on SVU, but get their comeuppance on Law & Order.

The 54-year-old actress says she’s been waiting for a bad-girl role after playing the heroine for 30 years.

She says it was about three or four years ago she decided she wanted a role “much more out of the box,” but despite being evil, she says she still had to make the character likeable.

In Carter’s words, “You can’t be a good grifter unless you’re likeable.”

Carter may leave her goodie-two-shoes hung up for a little while longer: She makes her London stage debut today (Sep. 26) playing the corrupt prison matron Mama Morton in Chicago.

The SVU episode airs tomorrow (Sep. 27) on NBC while the Law & Order episode airs Wednesday (Sep. 28).
