‘Survivor’ Contestant Lying Down On The Job

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One of the current castaways on Survivor: Guatamala – The Maya Empire is former NFL quarterback Gary Hogeboom and while you’d expect him to have leadership skills, host Jeff Probst is more impressed with his ability to lie.

Hogeboom is using the alias “Gary Hawkins” because he feared the other players would vote him out if they knew of his past.

Probst says the show has never had a player who had “such a lie to tell – and tell it so well” and is impressed at how Hogeboom is able to tell his teammates he’s “really a landscape architect.”

Although at least one castaway thought she recognized Hogeboom, he is still getting away with his lie.

Probst won’t say what happens or if Hogeboom eventually reveals his secret but says the lie has helped the show “get off to a good start.”
