INXS Member Considering Going With Two Lead Singers

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Is it possible INXS could end up picking two new lead singers for its band instead of one?

One band member admits he’s “entertained” that possibility.

Guitarist/ sax player Kirk Pengilly admits he’s suggested bringing two new singers into the fold a la Fleetwood Mac.

However, he admits he’s not sure how much support the concept has with his bandmates and believes the general consensus is towards one band, one lead singer format.

But that doesn’t mean that INXS won’t work with each of the rejects on separate projects. Pengilly says definitely plans to do business with the top six or seven singers and figures the band has written more than 100 songs since 1997 and “not all of them will be right for INXS.”

INXS will pick its new lead singer on Sept. 20 and Pengilly says after that will be a blur because “we’re planning to release the new album in November.”
