Hell’s Satans Raising Hell In Richmond

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – You’ve heard the song “Born To Be Wild” but a biker gang in Richmond, Virginia, is “born to be mild.”

They’re called “Hell’s Satans” and while it conjures up the image of a tough-as-nails biker gang, they’re really 21 moped-riding rebels without a cause who buzz through the streets of Richmond.

They’re also the subject of a new short documentary aptly titled Hell’s Satans, which premieres at the Chicago Underground Film Festival today (Aug. 19).

Director Brian Davis knows two guys in the gang – who named it after a Simpsons episode – and insists, “All the tough elements are involved”: leather jackets, studded denim and one guy has a tattoo of a pirate holding a dagger.

He admits, the name is “...also a joke because you can’t be that tough riding around on a moped going 30 mph.”

Although mopeds aren’t the fastest mode of transportation, the 25-year-old Davis says he was impressed enough to buy one of his own. Sadly, he says he could never get it running and has already sold it.
