Online Radio Station Caters To Dogs and Cats

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Who knew pets were music lovers? At least, that’s what an online radio station that caters to dogs and cats is banking on.

Dogcatradio.com is aimed at appeasing the ears of pooches and felines and features a diverse range of tunes from classical to soft rock and pop.

Website spokesman Jesse Martinez says ditties from musicians such as Barry Manilow, Enya and Huey Lewis are keeping dogs and cats “entertained” while their owners are away at work.

Not surprisingly, Martinez says the most requests from pet owners so far are for Elvis Presley’s “You Ain’t Nothing But a Hound Dog” and “Who Let the Dogs Out” by the Baja Men.

The website has gotten 190,000 hits since it launched last week and although the station is targeting dogs and cats, Martinez figures other animal sidekicks such as birds, hamsters and snakes are enjoying the pet-friendly broadcast as well.
