Elvis Museum Holds Casting Call For Next King

LAS VEGAS (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A Las Vegas museum is casting a large net in hopes of finding the world’s best Elvis Presley impersonator.

The Elvis-A-Rama Museum is conducting a global search for somebody who sounds like the King and has his looks and stage presence.

The best King candidates will compete on a reality show and the No. 1 impersonator will get a chance to record an unreleased Elvis ditty called “If I’d Only Bought Her Roses.”

Elvis-A-Rama founder Chris Davidson hopes to find the best King possible but admits, like American Idol, the bad ones may be just as entertaining.

The majority of wannabe Elvises dress like the 1970s fat Presley, but he hopes more candidates dress like the 1950s King or the black leather version from the late 1960s.

Davidson suggests aspiring singers avoid singing “Fort Lauderdale Chamber Of Commerce,” from the movie, Girl Happy because he hates it “...and so did Elvis” and says fresh breath is also important – so lay off the peanut butter and banana sandwiches before the audition.
