Sexologist Prescribes Sex Makeovers For Americans

SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Sex is a touchy subject for many Americans, which is why one porn-star-turned sexologist is prescribing “sex makeovers.”

Dr. Annie Sprinkle has just come out with a 14-point program designed to improve a person’s sex life.

For instance, Dr. Sprinkle says most bedrooms aren’t conducive to sexual activity and says you can make them more sensual just by covering up the TV with a towel and moving pictures of your kids, in-laws or pets to other rooms of the house.

Another way to perk up your sex life: Removing the phrase, “Do you think I look fat?” from your vocabulary. Dr. Sprinkle says “negative self-talk” is a buzzkill for both you and your partner.

But she says the best thing a person can do for their sex life is avoid the middle of the road. As she puts it, “Most people keep their sex lives in the middle when it’s really more satisfying to go to extremes between rough and gentle encounters.”

Dr. Sprinkle has just written a book, Spectacular Sex (Tarcher/Penguin), and hopes it arouses TV producers’ interest in a sexual version of Extreme Makeover.
