Mimicking Chest Hair Hardest Part Of Portraying Robin Williams

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – It’s not easy to portray a manic comic actor like Robin Williams, but it’s even harder to mimic his chest hair.

That’s what actor Chris Diamantopoulos learned while portraying Williams in Behind The Camera: The Unauthorized Story Of Mork And Mindy, an NBC TV-movie airing April 4.

Diamantopoulos figured learning the actor’s voice would be hard and conveying his erratic comic style very difficult, but when it came to duplicating Williams’ legendarily hairy chest, Diamantopoulos had to rely on his own hairy chest and that didn’t quite measure up.

In fact, he had to plump up his own torso tresses and jokes he still has “a few animals caught in there.”

Still, Diamantopoulos knows he’s no Robin Williams and is the first to admit his backside isn’t as furry. However, in his words, “I told my dad and he promised, ‘Don’t worry. It’s coming.’”
