When under stress, many men and women turn to food for relief but according to diet researchers Dr. Richard and Rachael Heller, people can fight off that urge.
In their new book The Stress-Eating Cure: Lose Weight With The No-Willpower Solution To Stress-Hunger And Cravings (Rodale), the diet docs present their findings after 10 years of research on stress-eating and the chunk that follows.
They found that putting down the cake when stressed has nothing to do with just saying no, its a matter of biology.
The docs reveal that many people have a gene that makes them more likely to feed their anxiety, so the need to eat is impossible to resist.
But there is hope.
The book offers a quiz to help stress-eaters discover their specific cause of anxiety and how to attack it in order to curb that muffin top.© Copyright 2010 Wireless Flash News Inc
