DARWIN, Australia (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Who spiked the nectar? A flock of parrots in Australia are suffering from a strange disease that makes them act like they’re drunk. The red- collared lorikeets, currently being observed by vets, have severe changes in mood from “obnoxious” to “really friendly and jovial,” much like an intoxicated human. They also stumble around, randomly fall off perches, and suffer from apparent hangovers, showing signs of headaches and disorientation. Experts think the so-called “drunket lorikeet” illness stems from something in the plant eaten by the birds.

LONDON – Brits don’t mess around when it comes to their beloved dish, fish n’ chips. Today (Jun. 4) George’s Portobello Fish Bar in West London will debut a fish n’ chips-flavored ice cream. The unusual treat consists of cod- flavored ice cream coated in a vanilla and pepper batter. It comes with potato ice cream chips topped with salt and vinegar and lemon wedges.

JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. – If you’re missing a leg, check in with the Jacksonville Beach Police Department in Florida. Officials recently found a prosthetic leg washed up on shore and they’re looking for its rightful owner. They’ve posted a lost-and-found ad on Craigslist and figure the limb will be easy to recognize because it has a Willie Nelson sticker on it.

PITTSBURGH – The Pittsburgh Penguins hockey team is looking for a few good toilet flushers. The team is seeking 250 students to help simultaneously flush 386 toilets and urinals at the new Consol Energy Center on June 10 at 4 PM ET. The toilet test – which is required for all new arenas – is being done in order to see whether the potties can handle the strain before the team starts playing this fall.
