SHORT HILLS, N.J. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) Its hard to measure up to Moms delicious homecooking, but at least you can try.New Jersey mom Eileen Breindel decided to pay honor to signature dishes from moms all over the world by collecting recipes, photos, and stories behind the meals on MyMomsRecipeBox.com.
Breindel admits that writing down Moms old recipes is tough since they dont typically measure out ingredients.
Moms usually just know how much salt, pepper, and love to add to a meal without ever using a measuring cup, making it hard to replicate their dishes.
However, its still fun to try based on memories alone.
Breindel says the trick is to keep trying the food as its being cooked until it tastes just how you remember it.
By sharing the recipes, moms whove passed away can be remembered, and those who are still around can get the recognition for their skills with a skillet.
