Leprechauns To Blame For St. Patrick's Day Antics

VANCOUVER, B.C. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The reason why people get so wild on St. Patrick’s Day (Mar. 17) isn’t booze – it’s leprechauns.

According to leprechaun investigator Tanis Helliwell, the impish little men are directly to blame for St. Paddy’s Day debauchery.

She’s seen leprechauns and other magical creatures all her life and is well acquainted with their wickedly wacky ways.

She explains, “They have a mischievous sense of humor. They’re around all the time, and when something funny is happening it’s because they’re around.”

However, the magical men tend to go extra crazy on St. Paddy’s Day since it’s “their Christmas.”

Their boisterous energy rubs off on everyone who’s knocking back green beer, which causes the debauchery that always ensues during the Irish holiday.

Helliwell advises drinkers to buy a pint of Guinness and leave it on the bartop for the leprechauns to chug because it brings good luck.
