CHRISTCHURCH, New Zealand (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) The idea of humans flying through the air without the help of airplanes is finally taking off the ground.New Zealand-based company Martin Jetpack is making Superman dreams come true by creating the first commercially available jetpack that allows people to fly with ease.
As a boy, creator Glenn Martin thought everyone would be flying around in the future. When he grew up and realized a regular Joe isnt allowed to fly a jetpack he decided to figure out why.
Turns out jetpacks cant go airborne for long and can barely lift most humans off the ground.
After years of trial and error and countless hours of research, Martin has now made flying a possibility for anyone on the planet, as long as they have $100,000 lying around.
Though he made the jetpack for recreational use, Martin says many interested buyers want to use it to go to 7-11 to buy milk.
