LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) Before becoming a rock star, Bret Michaels built his empire by working odd jobs. The Poison frontman will test his business savvy on Donald Trumps The Celebrity Apprentice this season, and credits a few random jobs for molding his work ethic.
As a kid growing up in Pennsylvania, Michaels made money shoveling snow.
He then worked as a bus boy and fry cook at a restaurant, moving up the ranks to become the assistant to the assistant manager.
He also unloaded dog food from trucks and worked a steady gig as a maintenance man, which prepared him for life as a touring singer.
Michaels says, When youre a musician, youre really a roadie. Duct tape is your best friend [and you learn to fix everything].
Season three of The Celebrity Apprentice premieres March 14 on NBC and Michaels wants to prove theres another side to him besides the drinking, dating, and sucking face seen on Rock Of Love.
