LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – According to RuPaul, eyebrows are a real drag for dudes who look like ladies.The iconic drag queen says ladylike brows are the most difficult feature for crossdressers to perfect because if they’re drawn too close together, they produce a “scowling,” mean-looking queen.
Wigs can also make or break a showgirl and must be maintained at all times so hair “doesn’t end up looking like a dime store wig.”
RuPaul says being a successful drag queen requires really knowing your body – the good and bad parts.
He, for instance, has learned that flat hair simply doesn’t work on him but form-fitting black dresses with a plunging neckline do because they “offset” his super long legs.
But looking the part means nothing if a queen can’t work it.
RuPaul says drag is all about confidence, “stick-with-it- ness,” and borrowing from pop culture greats.
