Larry The Cable Guy: Air Guitar God?

Tuesday, January 26, 2010 17:22 GMT

SANFORD, Fla. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – If comedy ever falls through, Larry The Cable Guy has a future in air guitar.

The funnyman’s stand-up special, Larry The Cable Guy: Tailgate Party, airs Sunday (Jan. 31) on Comedy Central and was filmed in front of 50,000 people – one of the largest comedy shows ever recorded.

Larry took the massive crowd as an opportunity to debut his other talent: Air guitar.

He and his road crew have fake band called “Air Disaster” and can often be found wearing heavy metal wigs and playing brooms as guitars backstage.

Larry says they’re particularly good at shredding “Any Way You Want It” by Journey and Stryper’s “Soldiers Under Command.”

They showed off their skills at the end of Tailgate Party, and to Larry’s surprise, “Lighters were in the air and fans were screaming.”

With all the jumping around and sweating, Larry now gets why rockstars are so skinny. Air rockin’ keeps his crew from “getting fat” on tour.
