Bert’s Unibrow Sets Bad Example For Kids

WASHINGTON, D.C. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Bert from Sesame Street is setting an awful example for children.

Michael Gilman, co-founder of The Grooming Lounge, thinks Bert’s unibrow – which he’s had since the show’s November 10, 1969 debut – is deplorable.

As an icon, Gilman believes it is Bert’s responsibility to practice good grooming, which includes having two eyebrows, not one.

By sporting a “caterpillar” on his face, Gilman fears that Bert is shaping future generations of unibrowed boys and setting back male grooming standards.

Until Bert gets waxed, he’s urging a boycott of Sesame Street. Gilman refuses to let his own sons watch the show and be influenced by the uni.

He says Bert’s brow could be fixed with a simple trim, wax, and good pair of tweezers for maintenance.

The clean-up would make Bert “look 10 years younger.”

Gilman thinks the Muppet should take a grooming cue from Ernie, who’s obsessed with bathing and doesn’t even have eyebrows.
