Bah-Humbug! Jim Carrey Pegged As Grinch

HOLLYWOOD (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Jim Carrey hates the holidays – and that’s helped land him a lot of gigs in Hollywood.

Carrey says that ever since he played the Grinch in the 2000 holiday flick, How The Grinch Stole Christmas, movie execs come to him with only yuletide yarns.

He laughs, “I hate Christmas. I’m the only person in Hollywood who hates Christmas!”

In his latest movie, Carrey plays classic, grumpy Scrooge in the motion-capture animation version of A Christmas Carol, in theaters today (Nov. 6).

He says playing such a sour character was a walk in the park, but seeing his animated self was harder to swallow.

The rendering freaked him out because he looked so much like his own father.

Says Carrey: “It was like a glimpse into my future – but it wasn’t a bad thing.”

Carrey notes that his dad was the “happy version” of Scrooge and actually loved family holidays.
