30 Million Travelers Want Naked Vacation

KISSIMMEE, Fla. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Naked vacations – or “nakations” – are on the rise.

According to the Ypartnership/Yankelovich 2009 National Travel Monitor survey, nude recreation has mainstream appeal.

Turns out 10 percent of travelers – or potentianlly 30 million people – consider nudist resorts an extremely desirable travel experience.

More folks are interested in baring it all on their vacation than golfing, snowboarding, hunting, mountain biking, or playing tennis.

According to Carolyn Hawkins of the American Association for Nude Recreation, the interest in nakations has to do with heightened stress levels.

She says naked getaways are incredibly relaxing and help people forget their worries, which explains why nudists are so laid-back.

Other benefits of nakationing include “body acceptance” and a beautiful overall bronze, since tan lines don’t happen when you’re nude.

Hawkins says nakations can be taken year-round because there’s always a warm place to go somewhere in the world, and, contrary to popular belief, if you travel nude, “no one’s looking at you.”
