Tabloid fixtures like Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan have a new best friend in designer Adam Harvey, who created the Anti-Paparazzi Handbag line, set to debut in Spring 2010.
The bags are made out of a reflective material that creates a counter flash when photos are taken around it, creating a huge glare in pictures and thus ruining any chance of paparazzi profiting off a celeb’s image.
Harvey says the intrusion into people’s private lives by photogs “isn’t called for,” so he wanted to give starlets a solution to their big problem.
Though he’s become the trusted ally of tabloid targets – many of whom already placed their order for a bag – Harvey says he’s made a few foes in the photography world.
The designer received an angry letter from a paparazzo who called him “selfish” for his work.
