Guys Rebel By Wearing Man Sandals

DALLAS (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Men may be rebelling against society by sporting the “mandal” – or man sandal.

Cynthia Nellis, fashion expert for about.com, says the clunky leather sandal worn by middle-age men may be a symbol of liberation.

Since men have never had many sandal options, the mandal is a way for them to finally free their toes and keep cool in the summer.

Nellis calls the mandal the “new leather jacket,” because it may make men feel “young and wild.”

She thinks the strappy, Roman-inspired footwear is a good alternative to tube socks and tennis shoes, though rules must be followed when sporting mandals.

Nellis recommends dudes groom their feet before exposing their toes and avoid wearing socks with mandals at all costs.

Besides rebellion, she believes the main draw of mandals is comfort and convenience.

Chances are women are buying mandals for men, and as long as they don’t have to go shopping themselves, they’ll wear anything.
