French Spiderman Climbs With Passion

PARIS (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – For one daring Frenchman, it’s climb or die.

Alain Robert has gained notoriety around the world as “The French Spiderman” for his death-defying climbs of huge buildings and skyscrapers, often while wearing an actual Spiderman costume.

Among the monstrous buildings he’s climbed are the Sears Tower in Chicago, the Sydney Opera House, and the Eiffel Tower.

Though Robert suffers from vertigo and has been left 60 percent disabled from injuries, the 46-year-old doesn’t plan on stopping.

However, he assures that he’s merely a mortal with a special gift, and not an actual superhero like many of his fans believe.

He says, “Spiderman is my nickname, but I have no supernatural powers. When I climb skyscrapers, there’s no special effect. No safety net.”

Robert has worked hard to become the best solo climber in the world, and he says it couldn’t have been done without passion.
